Michelle was a junior high teacher for approximately 12 years and received great joy from the education and antics of 7th and 8th graders. Michelle's career as a professional educator encompasses working in public and parochial schools to Girl Scouts to public health. She loves the learning environment, the professional speaking engagements and many trainings she leads for Safe Routes to School and Walk! Bike! Fun! She also loves being active through downhill skiing, running, biking and horseback riding. Michelle is a recreational bike rider, using it for exercise, going to work or the grocery store, wherever and whenever the elements and infrastructure will allow. She is hoping that there will soon be many more bike trails throughout Minnesota to connect communities and destinations.
